Manara for Schools
Your Islamic school in one place, not five.
Manara for Schools is one system for Islamic day and weekend schools. Teachers plan lessons, record Hifdh and post class news, and parents follow along in one portal.
In use at Al-Razi School and Burlington Islamic Sunday School. Keep SchoolPro for billing if you like. A parent sees a child only after your office approves them. Screens show a sample school.

Before
Sound familiar?
Which group chat was that in?
Notices often go out on WhatsApp, Teams and paper, and the family that missed one message misses the field trip.
Hifdh lives in a notebook
Sabak, sabqi and manzil are often written by hand, so the office and the parents cannot see where a child really is.
Teachers type it all twice
Plans often live in Word, marks in a spreadsheet, points in ClassDojo and forms in Google Forms, and report cards are rebuilt by hand every quarter.
With Manara
One place for the whole school day
Less typing for teachers
Attendance and points in a tap, a lesson plan copied across the week, and report cards written in the same place as everything else.
Parents hear from one place
Class updates, private messages and handouts in one portal. Parents get an email when a teacher posts, writes to them or shares a mark or handout. Nothing to install and no password needed.
Qur'an progress the office and families can see
Hifdh by surah and ayah and each child's Arabic letters, recorded by the teacher and visible to the office and the family.
Try it
See what a teacher and a parent see
Take attendance, give points, post to the class, record Hifdh and plan a lesson. Then switch to the parent's view. Every name is made up.
Sample data only. Nothing you do here is saved.

Getting started
How switching works
We set it up with you
On a call we look at how your school runs today. Then Hope Tech imports your roster from a spreadsheet you send us, creates logins for teachers and the office, and trains your staff.
You run it from one dashboard
The office manages classes, parents, consent, the calendar and registration. Teachers open only their own classes, on a phone or a laptop.
Families follow along
The office approves each parent and sends them the link. They sign in with a code sent by email and see their child's class updates, messages, Hifdh and report cards.

Pricing
Priced per student, with no setup fee.
Pay yearly and it costs the same as 10 months. The first 10 schools get 25% off for as long as they stay.

Founding rate: 25% off Founding rate for the first 10 schools, locked while you stay.
Founding rate terms
For the first 10 schools that sign up after this page goes live. Existing clients do not take a spot and keep what they pay today. 25% off the regular per-student price and the monthly minimum of the plan you choose: Weekend School $0.75 a month or $7.50 a year per student, minimum $74 a month ($740 a year); Day School $1.20 or $12 a year, minimum $111 ($1,110 a year); Whole School $1.50 or $15 a year, minimum $299 ($2,990 a year). Locked for as long as your plan continues. Changing plans keeps 25% off the new plan's regular price. It ends if the plan is cancelled. It applies to plan fees only, not quoted work. It combines with yearly billing but not with the 30% linked-school discount; a school that qualifies for both gets the larger one.

Included for every organization
- Each organization's records are walled off in software. Staff of one organization cannot see another's, and automated tests check this.
- Nightly automated backups of your database.
- Your logo and brand colors throughout your site.
- Your own web address. We connect your domain for you (you may need to change one setting with your domain provider), or you can use yourname.manara.hopetechapps.com.
- Secure connections (HTTPS) on every page.
- Setup by a person. We set up your site, bring over up to 10 pages of your existing content and train your admins. No setup fee.
- Real human support, with no support tiers. Plans differ by features and scale, never by who answers your email.
- Staff logins. Add administrators, each with their own sign-in. Admins can turn on two-step sign-in.
- Payments go to a Stripe account in your organization's name, which we help you connect. Manara never holds your money or sees card numbers, and it currently takes no fee per payment. Stripe's own fees apply.
- Your records are yours. Download your form responses, and your gift or school records if you use them, as spreadsheets (CSV) at any time.
Add-ons
- Linked school under your masjid 30% off this plan
A school or weekend program under a masjid or other Manara organization on the same account pays its own plan minus 30%, taken after the per-student amount and the minimum. One login for your team. It does not combine with the founding rate; you get the larger discount. - Larger schools Half price per student after the first 300
Every student after the first 300 is billed at half the plan's per-student rate. Example: a 400-student Day School pays 300 x $1.60 + 100 x $0.80 = $560 a month, or $5,600 a year. - Custom work Quoted separately
Moving a large existing site, or building a feature just for you, is quoted separately. It is never required to start on any plan.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
We already use SchoolPro and ClassDojo. Why change?
Keep SchoolPro for tuition billing and transcripts if it handles them for you. Manara is not a full student information system: it does not send tuition invoices or family statements, and it does not produce transcripts or state reports. It takes over the classroom and family side: the points and class posts you use ClassDojo for, the WhatsApp groups, and lesson plans. Hifdh is recorded by sabak, sabqi and manzil, and families follow it in their own portal. If SchoolPro already does your report cards, keep them there and use Manara for the classroom. It all sits on one roster that we import from a spreadsheet you send us, so each child is entered once.
Will our teachers actually use it?
Teachers open only their own classes, on a phone or a laptop. Attendance and points are a tap each, and a lesson plan can be copied across the week. We train your staff during setup and answer their emails after.
Will parents use it?
Parents need nothing new to install. The office sends them a link, and they sign in with a six-digit code sent by email. The portal's menus can be switched to Arabic, and parents get an email when a teacher posts or writes to them. Urdu, Pashto, Dari and Spanish menus are also there; they are machine-drafted and not yet reviewed by fluent readers.
Is our children's information safe?
Your school's data is kept separate from every other organization. A parent sees a child only after the office confirms them. Class photos and files are private, and only parents who have given consent see class posts. Teachers see parents' names only, and children have no login or password. Your school's records are stored in the United States.
Can we keep our own curriculum?
Yes. Teachers write plans for your own subjects and lessons, and can add any subject you teach. On the Whole School plan we also load your pacing guide, so each week's focus and, where your guide has one, the standard code fill in for your teachers. Our team loads the guide for you; it is not a self-service upload.
How long does it take to switch?
Your part is one spreadsheet of children and parents, and time for staff training. We do the import, create teacher and office logins and train your staff, and we agree a start date with you on the demo call. You can also start with one part, such as online registration, as Burlington Islamic Sunday School did, and add classes later.
Does it work for a weekend or Sunday school?
Yes. We switch on a shorter lesson plan and report card for Qur'an, Islamic Studies and Arabic, and simple marks. The school calendar holds your Sundays and closures, and families can register online. Burlington Islamic Sunday School is set up this way for classes starting October 11, 2026. If your weekend school runs under your masjid, it can join as a linked school: it pays its own plan minus 30%, and your team uses one login for both.
Why isn't Manara free?
A person at Hope Tech sets up your school, brings over your roster, trains your teachers and answers your email. We charge the school one clear price for that.
Should we pay monthly or yearly?
Yearly costs 10 months' price for 12 months and counts the students enrolled at the start of the school year. Monthly lets you stop at the end of any month and re-counts students each term. We show the yearly price first because most schools set their budget for the school year.
Is there a nonprofit discount?
These prices are already set for Islamic schools and nonprofits. You can pay less by paying yearly (2 months free), by joining as one of the first 10 founding schools (25% off, locked while you stay), or by adding your school as a linked program under your masjid (30% off). The founding and linked discounts don't combine; you get the larger one.
What if we cancel?
Monthly plans stop at the end of the month you cancel in, and yearly plans at the end of the year you paid for. Before you go, download your academic records as spreadsheets (CSV, one file per dataset): roster, parents, classes, attendance, marks, report cards, Hifdh, behavior, Arabic progress and lesson plans. Messages and photos are not in that download. If you own your domain name, it stays yours. Your portal runs on Manara, so it stops when your plan ends. A founding rate ends when the plan ends.
